The French physicist, Leon Foucault, in an effort to prove the rotation of the earth, strung up a Pendulum inside Paris' Pantheon. there were 3 to 4 millimetres of difference between eWith each swing, the pendulum left a mark in sand strewn on the floor. The trace however,was never in the same place: ach pass, 16 seconds later. The pendulum remained in the same plane, but the Pantheon, Paris, and the Earth turned around it!
The point to which the pendulum is fastened is "The still point of the turning world." The only stationary point in a world constantly in motion.
This is the Idea behind Still Point Media -- a search for the still, calm spot in the maelstrom that surrounds us.
While each section of this website
has it's own purpose, a common thread runs through it all -- the search
